Cathy Steele earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1981. A native of St. Louis, Cathy is dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of people throughout the St. Louis area facing challenging legal issues. She earned valuable experience as a prosecutor in Fenton, Missouri, and has been a mediator in the City and County of St. Louis and in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri since 1995. Her background as a negotiator, mediator, and trial attorney gives her the flexibility needed to meet your needs in and out of court.
As a former president of the Institute for Women’s Health Initiatives, Cathy Steele spearheaded efforts to promote women’s health in our community. Currently, she is the president of Jewish Children’s Home, a subsidiary group of the Jewish Family & Children's Service – an organization dedicated to providing community service programs, such as child abuse prevention programs and counseling programs as well as a food pantry.
Cathy Steele is also a trained collaborative law attorney, dedicated to helping clients use collaborative law tools to efficiently, cost-effectively, and less traumatically resolve family law and divorce matters.
